Entry #2. The Big Question
Ever wonder what happens after death?
Is there a big bright light that you see?
Is it complete darkness with nothing there?
Nobody knows that answer and sometimes it can scare people, I know It scares me. My friends and I have this conversation ALL the time, and each time our minds open a little more. Death is a natural thing that eventually comes to every living organism. It can be scary when you think about loved ones leaving us because they will just be gone in a blink of an eye. The memories we create, link us to our loved ones and even strangers we pass each and every day.
My belief or opinion about what happens when you die is something I strongly believe in. I think that when we die, our souls go off into a whole new universe. We then start a whole new life and choose what and where we want to be. Déjà vu plays a part in my belief as well. When you have Déjà vu you think that the situation you're in has already happened before and you've lived this. When you go into the whole new universe, you bring those memories with you along with the people who you have had deep connections with. In your new life you will have sparks of your old life memories which results in Déjà vu. Since you have had connections with these people they will go along with you into the new universe when they die. You will then create new memories like your past life did. I know this can sound a little crazy.. maybe a lot crazy but it is what I truly think happens after death.
I don't believe that after you die there is just an entirety of emptiness and darkness. There has to be something to hold onto, to believe in. If you believe in something you have that to hold onto and have hope. I think a lot, if not everybody has thought of what really happens after you die. If everybody has this question, I wanted to share my answer to what I believe what happens. Maybe others can relate or if they have different opinions I would love to hear!

I think that everyone was put on this earth for a reason and i feel like you would agree, just based off of you saying that there can't be nothing after we die. We do have to hold onto something, and in my case that's Christianity. I know that lots of people today believe there is no proof behind Christianity and its all based singularly on faith, but there is more and more actual proof of Jesus Christ and his existence every day. If you ever have the chance, the book, "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist" is awesome and has great information. At the end of the day, I know that when I die I will go to heaven.
ReplyDeleteHi Maddy, I enjoyed your blog because it was short, sweet and to the point. The content is a introspect or examination of your own thoughts and feelings. Yes, it is true that death is inevitable but you might also want to retrospect on your existence in the first place. Before we can analyze were we are headed we should first find were did we come from. Why is it that we have free will while other living creatures do not. I would like to believe that I am a creation for something greater.
ReplyDeleteHey Maddy! , I think your idea of what happens to us after death is very intriguing. It even got me thinking that this might actually happen to us after we pass away. I really don't have an idea where we might go because the thought of what happens to us kind of scares me but I would have to agree with you. We're resurrected in another place to live our life from a different view of ourselves like what we possibly wanted to do in our past life. Maybe that's just a thought. I really enjoyed your post, it really got me thinking about what might actually happen to us.
ReplyDeleteHello Maddy, I really liked the topic that you chose to write about. I very often find myself thinking about what happens to us after death. However, I try not to think about it too much, because I get really anxious about it. I do agree with some of the things you stated and have also thought about many things you talked about. For example, the part where you said your soul moves on to a different universe. I have thought about this, but in a different way where you die and then you become a new person to live a new life. Overall, I really enjoyed how you wrote and structured your post. One thing I would recommend is to add some photos just to intrigue your readers.
